Thoughts and Condolences

Jim Fisher
April 20, 1952 - July 5, 2021

James Fisher passed away on July 5, 2021 at Northwestern Hospital surrounded by his wife and daughter. He was a proud military veteran and enjoyed his days he spent in the service. Jim was a member of the Harvard Sportsmans Club for 20+ years. Most of his time he spent working in the kitchen preparing our dinners with the rest of the of the kitchen crew. He will be sorely missed.

Special Thanks
to Steve Creviston for all his hard work cleaning and organizing the kitchen over the past years. He has spent many hours and the results are clearly evident, the kitchen has never looked better! It is because of people like Steve that we can enjoy all the benefits the club has to offer. Please give him a pat on the back the next time you see him. Don't forget to thank the other cooks too!

A big THANK YOU to our bartenders; Shane Sammons & John Kravenas

Independent Workday Activities
The purpose of independent work days is to provide members the opportunity to obtain work day credits when it is not possible to attend scheduled work days or events. Not only do we have a lot of things that need to get done around the property, but we are also in need of certain materials.

We are also looking for volunteers to join a committee and adopting a task or activity for a period of time to obtain work day credits. For example, weed whacking around the club house or adopting an area at the lake to maintain or get involved with the lawn mowing crew.

Nick Oerkfitz (nickoerkfitz@yahoo.com) to volunteer time, material, equipment or confirm work activity.
